Dog Obedience Training
Our goal is to help you teach your dog to behave the way you want and for you to have a pet you can be proud of. We teach classes for puppies and dogs and cover obedience from basic to intermediate levels. We want you to leave our training with the tools and skills to teach your dog the manners they need to be a good canine citizen in your home and community.


Class Outlines

Puppy Manners
Description Who's it for?

This course will be to encourage puppies to interact and socialize with each other and other owners in a controlled environment.

Introduces the basics of training such as:

  • Sit, down, stay, come
  • Walking on leash
  • Understanding your puppy
  • Maintaining consistent schedule for house training, feeding
  • Puppy challenges such as jumping, nipping and chewing

Puppies from 12 weeks to 6 months
(2nd set of vaccinations required)

Basic Obedience
Description Who's it for?

This course will be on teaching the basic commands. Upon completion of this course the dog will be able to perform these skills under low distraction. 

The following will be covered:

  • Basic commands-sit,stay,down,heel and recall
  • Control in the house
  • Creating a foundation for great future obedience control.
Theory for owners will include social structure issues, reading body language, building reward systems, solving problem behaviour such as jumping, mouthing and digging.

6 months and older

Intermediate Obedience
Description Who's it for?

This course looks at normal communication systems for boths dogs and their owners. By learning about this body language you will understand what your dog is thinking and trying to communicate to you. You will also be more aware of what information you are actually relaying to your dog.

The course covers:

  • Social structure issues
  • Reading dogs body language
  • Dealing with problem behaviours
  • Taking training to the next level
  • Age related dominance issues

Some of the training will be outdoors.

6 months and older

 Fun with Agility
Description Who's it for?
Agility is a great way to have fun with your dog and  build your dog's self confidence. Through positive motivation and teamwork, you and your dog will learn to work together and develop your relationship by being introduced to agility equipment and learn the basic agility skills.
This course covers the following:
  • Build  a better foundation
  • Motivating your dog using rewards
  • Recalls, running and sending
  • Introduction to chute, weaves, jumps, target boards and tunnels

Dogs must  be 6 months or older and have completed basic obedience training.

Agility Level 1
Description Who's it for?
Build speed, accuracy and distance with your skills from Intro Agility, handling and jump work. Continuing on building solid contacts and weave work. Dogs who have completed introduction to Agility.
Agility Level 2
Description Who's it for?
Level 2 will focus on building your handling skills through short sequences, introducing all contact equipment. Handlers must have control of the dog to move on from this level.
