CANINE ACADEMY ENRICHMENT
DOGGIE DAYCARE (Day School)

A New Take on Daytime for Pet Care-Day school & Enrichment

At Muttz with Mannerz™, we believe daycare should be more than just supervised play — it should support your dog’s emotional, physical, and behavioural well-being. That’s why we’ve evolved our program into a more structured and enriching Day School experience designed to help dogs thrive both mentally and socially.

Our team of Canine Coaches are trained in positive reinforcement methods, canine body language, enrichment strategies, socialization, and pet first aid. We focus on creating calm, safe, and meaningful experiences that help dogs build confidence, develop life skills, and learn how to regulate excitement in a healthy way.

Using Kim Brophy’s L.E.G.S.® model (Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self), we recognize that every dog is an individual with unique instincts, sensitivities, motivations, and needs. This allows us to better tailor enrichment activities, rest periods, social interactions, and learning opportunities to support each dog as a whole.

A behaviour assessment is performed on every prospective daycare client, providing dedicated time to best understand your objectives for your dog’s day school experience.

 More than just play!

Rather than all-day unstructured play, our Day School program incorporates a balanced schedule of enrichment, rest, training games, confidence-building activities, scent work, cooperative care exercises, leash walks, obstacle courses, and social skill development. Playgroups are thoughtfully organized based on personality, play style, energy level, and individual goals to promote safer and more successful interactions.

For dogs needing additional support, Pet Parents can also add one-on-one coaching sessions, training add-ons, or enrichment walks to further enhance their dog’s day.

Every prospective daycare student participates in a behavioural assessment so we can get to know your dog, understand your goals, and ensure we create the best possible Day School experience for both ends of the leash.

Benefits of Enrichment Doggie Day School

For Your Dog

Physical Exercise with Purpose
Dogs need regular movement to support both their physical and emotional well-being. Our Day School program provides structured activity, enrichment walks, play, and learning opportunities that help keep dogs healthy, engaged, and balanced.

Safe & Positive Social Experiences
Not every dog learns best through nonstop group play. Our structured approach allows dogs to safely build social skills, confidence, and communication abilities through thoughtfully managed interactions with dogs and humans alike.

Mental Enrichment & Brain Games
A tired dog isn’t always a fulfilled dog — mental stimulation matters too. Throughout the day, dogs participate in enrichment activities tailored to their needs and interests, including scent detection games, puzzles, snuffle mats, confidence-building exercises, obstacle courses, cooperative care, training games, and problem-solving activities designed to engage the brain.

Learning Through Our Day School Approach
We believe daycare can also be an opportunity for growth and learning. Using positive reinforcement and enrichment-based teaching, we help dogs practice real-life skills such as calmness, impulse control, settling, leash manners, focus, and emotional regulation throughout their day.

Support for the Whole Dog Through the L.E.G.S.® Model
Every dog is unique. By incorporating Kim Brophy’s L.E.G.S.® model — Learning, Environment, Genetics, and Self — we tailor experiences to better support your dog’s instincts, personality, energy level, and emotional needs.

Customized Training Support
Looking for additional help with specific goals? Our Canine Academy offers optional one-on-one coaching and training add-ons that can be integrated into your dog’s Day School experience to support manners, confidence, life skills, and behaviour goals.

Dogs who struggle with boredom, overexcitement, separation-related stress, or limited social confidence often benefit greatly from a structured and supervised environment. Many dogs simply need appropriate outlets for energy, enrichment, rest, and learning — and our Day School program is designed to provide exactly that.

Benefits of Day School for Pet Parents

Peace of Mind While You’re Away
Feel confident knowing your dog is spending the day in a safe, structured, and enriching environment — not simply being supervised, but actively learning, exploring, resting, and engaging in meaningful activities tailored to their needs.

A Happier, More Balanced Dog at Home
Dogs who receive appropriate mental stimulation, physical activity, social interaction, and rest throughout the day are often more relaxed and settled at home. After a fulfilling Day School experience, many dogs are ready to unwind and enjoy a calm evening with their families.

Support for Real-Life Behaviour Goals
Our Day School structure helps reinforce important life skills such as calmness, impulse control, confidence, focus, and social manners. Through enrichment, guided activities, and positive interactions, we help dogs practice behaviours that support success both at daycare and at home.

Structure, Routine & Emotional Wellness
Dogs thrive on predictability and balance. Our structured schedule includes enrichment activities, social opportunities, decompression time, learning sessions, rest periods, and outdoor exploration to help reduce overstimulation and support emotional regulation.

More Than Just Playtime
Traditional daycare can sometimes become overly stimulating for certain dogs. Our Day School model was designed to create a healthier balance between activity, learning, rest, and enrichment so dogs leave fulfilled — not exhausted or overwhelmed.

Flexible Options to Support Your Lifestyle
Whether your dog joins us regularly or occasionally, incorporating Day School into your routine can provide important outlets for energy, enrichment, and social connection — especially during busy work weeks, colder winter months, or hot summer days when exercise opportunities may be limited.
